Embrace the Autumn season with this 'Hello Autumn' Painting workshop.

Join Creative Bliss for a cosy painting session where you can create your own masterpiece inspired by the beauty of Autumn. Sip on a cup of something warm and enjoy a slice of delicious cake from the cafe whilst you unleash your inner artist.

This is the perfect activity for a relaxed and creative afternoon out, with beautiful, foraged autumnal pieces to paint from and step by step guidance.

Make a Witch's Hat Candle Holder

2pm – 4:30pm

Build your own witch's hat candle holder in this workshop.

During the course, you will be taught how to build and shape your candle holder. Everyone will be shown the same steps but creativity and individuality is encouraged! You can make your hat look worn and battered, or super neat and pointy! Which witch would you be?

After your piece is made and dried off, we will get you to paint your candle holder before we get it glazed and fired, all in good time for spooky season!

£40 – includes all materials and a hot drink of your choice. 2.5 hour session. Suitable for ages 12+ (children under 18 to be accompanied by an adult)

Beginner Machine Sewing Workshop

10am - 4pm

Get to know your way around a sewing machine and learn the basic techniques to help build your confidence and skills. Includes threading and setting up your machine, creating different stitches, inserting a zip, boxing corners, making and joining pieces of a simple pattern. You’ll spend the day learning how to make a variety of projects to take home using a selection of fabrics provided, including a drawstring bag and a zipped pouch. End the day feeling satisfied with your achievements and more confident using a sewing machine.

This course is a great way to start your sewing journey and you’ll leave with new-found knowledge, confidence and inspiration for future projects plus you’ll get to take your lovely handmade items home with you.

Sewing machines and accessories will be provided, so all you need to do is turn up! You are also welcome to bring your own sewing machine.

You will learn:

  • Threading and using a domestic sewing machine
  • General sewing techniques
  • Cutting fabric from a simple pattern
  • Edge stitching
  • Sewing a zipper
  • Boxing corners
  • Troubleshooting tips and tricks
  • Achieving a professional finish

Workshop will run from 10am-4pm with a one hour lunch break and is suitable for ages 16+.

Silver Clay Jewellery Workshop

Guided by jewellery designer Rebecca Lucy, this is your chance to escape from the outside world and get creatively inspired by nature. During this fun, informal workshop you'll learn how to use natural leaves, twigs and shells to create a recycled silver pendant using silver clay.

Over the course of the workshop you'll learn:

Using natural objects to create impressions on your piece

Drawing with a sewing machine

10am - 1pm & 2pm - 5pm

Join Adele for a creative and fun 3 hour workshop, where you'll learn free motion machine embroidery using a sewing machine to create a picture or cards.

Combine with colourful appliqué fabrics, learn how to add loopy writing and how to set up a sewing machine.

All materials, fabrics and machines will be provided alongside templates and designs to start you off. If you have any ideas or fabrics from home then feel free to bring them along. No previous sewing machine experience necessary and the workshop is suitable for all abilities.

Make Spooky Magnets & a Creepy Keyring

4pm – 6:30pm

Sculpt your pieces out of clay, and then use our glazes to paint them any way you like. The more gory the better!

We'll then glaze, fire and attach the magnet or keyring so they are ready to use on collection!

£35 – includes all materials, a drink and firing. This workshop is approximately two hours long, adult supervision required. Suitable for ages 5-12 years. All items will be ready for collection within two – three weeks. Please bring your own apron or wear clothes that you don't mind getting messy.

Autumnal Watercolours Workshop

2pm - 5pm

Join artist Holly to nurture your creativity this season and learn how to paint Autumn-inspired watercolours. If you enjoy time in nature and are looking for an opportunity to nurture your creativity, join Holly for this intimate and nourishing afternoon.

We’ll take inspiration from the abundant surroundings at Flourish and a seasonal display of autumn leaves, nuts, berries and harvest crops. Holly will weave mindfulness moments throughout the session, to remind us that artmaking is about the process rather than any product.

The session will include playful observational sketching and step-by-step watercolour painting with demonstrations. You’ll create a series of Autumnal sketches and paintings to take home or give to loved ones.

Artist-quality materials are provided and all levels and experience are welcome, even if you haven't picked up a paintbrush since school!

Learn from Holly’s 10 years of artistic experience and gentle guidance to grow your creative confidence with watercolours this Autumn.

Spooky Pottery Painting After-School Club

Come and join us after school for some Halloween fun! Paint with us and enjoy an evening of fun and frights!

Choose from a list of Halloween inspired pottery items (cats, pumpkins, skulls) and let your creative side run wild! There will be treats (not tricks) for those who come in fancy dress, Monster Mash music and everyone will get a scary snack box to enjoy whilst they paint (all dietary requirements and allergies can be catered for, please just let us know in advance).

Open to all ages – children under 16 will need adult supervision. Adults are welcome to paint too, just pay for your item at the till!

Make Your Own MONSTER!

Join us in our spooky pottery studio for some crafty creepy fun! Design and make your own monster, inspired by your very own imagination.

We will start by doodling our monsters… these can be anything you like! Then we will help you to mould and sculpt its likeness into clay. Once the creature is complete, you can use our glazes to paint the pot to look as monstrous as you can!

Kids Drawstring Backpack Sewing Workshop

Looking for something fun to occupy your child this October half term? Drop your child off for a full-day kids' sewing experience at Flourish, designed to teach the basics of machine sewing. This is the perfect workshop to build confidence and skills along with learning essential troubleshooting techniques. Here, experienced sewing tutor Lauren will go through all aspects of the sewing machine including threading and setting up, different stitches, applique, and making and joining pieces of a simple pattern.

Your child will then make their own drawstring backpack with an outside pocket and appliqué design.

What to expect:

  • Full-day kids' sewing workshop focused on machine sewing basics.
  • Instruction on threading, stitching, and appliqué techniques.
  • Guided creation of a drawstring backpack with an appliqué design.
  • All materials, sewing machine, and sewing kit provided.
  • Small group setting with a max of 6 students for personalised attention.

This class includes a 30-minute lunch break.
