Get to know your way around a sewing machine and learn the basic techniques to help build your confidence and skills. Includes threading and setting up your machine, creating different stitches, inserting a zip, boxing corners, making and joining pieces of a simple pattern. You’ll spend the day learning how to make a variety of projects to take home using a selection of fabrics provided, including a drawstring bag and a zipped pouch. End the day feeling satisfied with your achievements and more confident using a sewing machine.
This course is a great way to start your sewing journey and you’ll leave with new-found knowledge, confidence and inspiration for future projects plus you’ll get to take your lovely handmade items home with you.

Ever wondered how a hand tied bouquet is made? Would you like to make your own? Come and join Ali from The Flower Box Saltford for a fabulous 2 hour workshop where you will create your very own hand tied bouquet in your own unique style!
No previous knowledge or experience is needed, just the thirst to try something new.
The workshop will start off with a full demonstration followed by flower prep, the art of spiralling the stems, flower placement and then finishing up with packaging your stunning blooms! From flowers to ribbon there will be lots of opportunities for you to put your very own style into your bouquet.
This workshop is two hours long and is suitable for all abilities. Everything is included, as well as a welcome drink of orange juice /tea or coffee. Whether you come alone or come with friends, you will have a great time.

Make your own stunning Dried Flower Hoop in this workshop, where you will be expertly guided through creating a unique wreath to display in your home or even give as a gift. A welcome drink is included of orange juice or tea/coffee.
The class will last for 2 hours and everything is provided. Choose from a selection of beautiful dried flowers and ribbons (available in different colours and styles) and make something which is totally unique! This workshop is suitable for all abilities.

Guided by jewellery designer Rebecca Lucy, this is your chance to escape from the outside world and get creatively inspired by nature. During this fun, informal workshop you'll learn how to use natural leaves, twigs and shells to create a recycled silver pendant using silver clay.
Over the course of the workshop you'll learn:
An introduction to silver clay and it's properties
Using natural objects to create impressions on your piece
How to fire and finish your magical creation

This workshop is an opportunity to discover a new skill, receive expert tips and tricks, and express yourself through an interior design essential. Everything you need for your lampshade’s structure will be provided, you just need to bring the fabric which best showcases your unique style.
Fabric requirements:
Fabric needed for a 30cm Lampshade - approx 120cm x 30cm
Fabric needed for a 40cm Lampshade - approx 130cm x 30cm
You’re more than welcome to bring more fabric if you wish. You will spend time looking at the print placement, discussing how best to use your choice of fabric and make sure to get the perfect fit on the day.

Get lit at Vivian May Naturals' signature candle making workshop! The candle workshop will last for 2 hours and hosted by expert candle maker Diane Dettering.
Diane will teach you the ins and outs of candle making. You will start by learning how our sense of smell works and how fragrance affects our mood and emotions, before being guided through a fragrance exploration. You can then choose from a range of fragrance oils to blend into your own bespoke candle.
Booking an experience includes all the materials needed during the class. No need to bring anything, just yourself!

Build your own witch's hat candle holder in this workshop.
During the course, you will be taught how to build and shape your candle holder. Everyone will be shown the same steps but creativity and individuality is encouraged! You can make your hat look worn and battered, or super neat and pointy! Which witch would you be?
After your piece is made and dried off, we will get you to paint your candle holder before we get it glazed and fired, all in good time for spooky season!

Join Adele for a creative and fun 3 hour workshop, where you'll learn free motion machine embroidery using a sewing machine to create a picture or cards.
Combine with colourful appliqué fabrics, learn how to add loopy writing and how to set up a sewing machine.
All materials, fabrics and machines will be provided alongside templates and designs to start you off. If you have any ideas or fabrics from home then feel free to bring them along. No previous sewing machine experience necessary and the workshop is suitable for all abilities.
Limited to 6 participants per session.
4pm – 6:30pm
Sculpt your pieces out of clay, and then use our glazes to paint them any way you like. The more gory the better!
We'll then glaze, fire and attach the magnet or keyring so they are ready to use on collection!
£35 – includes all materials, a drink and firing. This workshop is approximately two hours long, adult supervision required. Suitable for ages 5-12 years. All items will be ready for collection within two – three weeks. Please bring your own apron or wear clothes that you don't mind getting messy.

We will start by doodling our monsters… these can be anything you like! Then we will help you to mould and sculpt its likeness into clay. Once the creature is complete, you can use our glazes to paint the pot to look as monstrous as you can!
This workshop will be approximately 2 hours long, adult supervision is required.

Looking for something fun to occupy your child this October half term? Drop your child off for a full-day kids' sewing experience at Flourish, designed to teach the basics of machine sewing. This is the perfect workshop to build confidence and skills along with learning essential troubleshooting techniques. Here, experienced sewing tutor Lauren will go through all aspects of the sewing machine including threading and setting up, different stitches, applique, and making and joining pieces of a simple pattern.
Your child will then make their own drawstring backpack with an outside pocket and appliqué design.
What to expect:
